MOESIA INFERIOR, Marcianopolis. Elagabalus, with Julia Maesa. AD 218-222. Æ Pentassarion (27mm, 13.02 g, 1h). Julius Antonius Seleucus, legatus consularis. Struck AD 220-221. Laureate head of Elagabalus right facing draped bust of Julia Maesa left, wearing stephane / Demeter standing left, holding grain ears and scepter; E (mark of value) to right. Cf. AMNG I 945; H&J 6.28.5.2 var. (legends); Varbanov 1619 var. (obv. legend); Pfeiffer 470 var. (same). VF, green-brown surfaces, minor roughness. Very rare.
